Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida with Toddlers
Our three and one year olds are really into Peppa Pig right now, so when I found out there was a Peppa Pig Theme Park on the route of our recent Florida road trip, I knew we had to stop in. We’re planning a Disney World trip for later this year, and our toddlers have never been to a theme park before. Peppa Pig Theme Park presented a perfect opportunity to see how they would do with this kind of sensory overload* before we headed to the big show (Disney). Truth be told, we loved Peppa Pig Theme Park! Read on for some details and our favorite moments.
Our Family’s Favorite Moments at Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida
Mari (Mommy) – The theming was amazing! It is so detailed and true to the show. The waiting area for the rides and the rides themselves were all themed to different things that had actually happened in the show, with voiceover from the characters. I’m partial to Miss Rabbit because I love how she is quite literally a task rabbit (Peppa Pig is very witty for parents to enjoy too IMHO). What mom can’t relate to having to do it all like Miss Rabbit? Anyway, Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride was perfectly themed to the episode The Balloon Ride, and this attention to detail for real fans of the show throughout the park did it for me.
Garrett (Daddy) – My husband especially loved seeing our kids react to the characters that came out to greet the kids—we saw Peppa perform and got to meet Daddy Pig—and the character statues that are throughout the park. He spent some time walking around both Peppa Pig’s Treehouse and Madame Gazelle’s Nature Trail with our younger son, Baby Bro, while I took our older son on some rides with height restrictions. Baby Bro was literally hugging the little character statues and giggling as he recognized them from his show. It was so sweet to see!
Big Bro (3.5 years old at the time of our visit) – Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster was an absolute hit for our big guy! We even rode it three times. I had no idea what to expect with him on a roller coaster since he sometimes gets car sick, and he’s never been on a thrill ride before, but he loved it and even chose a favorite car to ride in (car 11).
Baby Bro (1.5 years old at the time of our visit) – Our little guy loved Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride. He’s very into all kinds of vehicles right now, and it was the perfect pace for him.
About the Park
Peppa Pig Theme Park is ideal for young children especially the three to seven year-old crowd. There are enough rides that you can easily do them all a few times, without dealing with massive crowds. The park also includes a stage for character performances, splash pad, sand play area, and playground. If your child is 36-inches or taller, they will be able to meet the height requirement for all of the rides. Our three year old did, but our one year old didn’t. However, there is still plenty for smaller children to do and have a great time!
We visited the park on a Monday in the summer. The longest line we had to wait on was only about 15 minutes, another huge perk for young kids. We arrived about 30 minutes after park opening, and we were able to get in all of the rides at least once, plus see a show, and play in the sand and splash pad all before lunch time. The staff has paper fast passes that they will give out to visitors to skip the lines. Be extra nice, and you might be able to snag one! We were lucky enough to be gifted one, which we used on Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster.
Pro Tips
1. Bring your own food if you can. There is only one food court, and the lines can be long on crowded days. However, there are plenty of tables for you to sit down in the shade and eat any food you’ve brought in.
2. Bring swim clothes for the splash pad. There are three large waterslides in the middle that are mixed use for both small and big kids, so anyone in the splash pad will get soaked rather quickly. Plan to do this last before you leave the park for the day.
